This is a large Tenney temperature/humidity chamber in very good operating condition. The chamber is an ETCU-132 model that was originally designed to test solar panels hence its wide performance range and large chamber size. The chamber interior dimensions are 48" wide x 79" deep and 60" high for a total volume of 132 cubic feet. The temperature range is from -60 deg C to 200 deg C and the humidity range is 20% to 98%RH. Cooling is provided by the cascaded compressors; each are 20 HP. The low stage compressor uses SUVA-95(R-508B) and the high stage uses R-507. There is an outdoor condenser unit included that has two circuits, one for each refrigerant. The outdoor condenser has the advantage of keeping the lab cooler since the heat is being shed outdoors. Heat in the chamber is provided by nichrome wire electric heaters. Humidification is provided by water vapor injection supplied by two Vapor-Flo II humidity generators located in the side of the chamber. Air is circulated in the chamber by two blowers.

The chamber is controlled by the Tenney VT5 Touch Interface which is easy to use and program. The Pentium based controller can be operated in manual mode or complete programs that can be created to follow specific ASTM, IEC, UL or custom requirements. The color touch screen can provide visual graphs of temperature and humidity. Multiple communication methods allow the chamber to be controlled or monitored remotely.

This machine is in very good used condition and is ready to be installed and put in service. It was being used by a domestic solar manufacturer that closed down at which time we removed the working chamber from the production floor and transported it to our warehouse. We applied power to the chamber at our facility and operated the heaters which performed as intended. We did not see it necessary to have the condenser temporarily connected and charged since the machine was working when it was removed. The machine was installed in 2009 testing lightweight solar panels. The paint is in very good condition with the exception of a few very minor scratches. This is a great opportunity to acquire a very expensive and rare large temperature/humidity chamber at a great price.

When the unit is installed, the outdoor condenser and chamber will need to be plumbed together with copper pipes, and the unit will need to be charged with both refrigerants.
