This is a self-contained on-site engine driven nitrogen generator with low and high-pressure outputs. This unit was originally intended to be used to service aircraft including filling tires, charging accumulators and landing struts. This cart could be used by an automotive fleet maintenance company to fill tires or charge accumulators or for its intended purpose of aviation maintenance. Most commercially available fleet inflators require high volumes of compressed air and power where this unit is completely self-contained. The basic description of unit is an engine-driven nitrogen compressor with low (400PSI) and high pressure (4000PSI) outputs. The engine has about 150 hours and is in good TESTED condition with only minor cosmetic scratches and scuffs.
We test ran the unit and it worked well. The machine has two high-pressure storage bottles that are installed in the lower section of the machine. We ran the machine and filled the bottles to about 2000 PSI while the nitrogen content maintained 95.6. to 96.1% as it should. The engine sounds very strong and the system worked well.
The 49 HP diesel engine drives the feed air compressor, hydraulic pump, and water pump. The compressed air enters a few different dryers, oil separators and filters then it passed through the filter membranes to make the nitrogen. High-pressure nitrogen is created by a hydraulically driven booster pump which boosts the nitrogen's pressure to 4400PSI. On-board high-pressure tanks hold 830 SCF of compressed nitrogen. There are many intercoolers, filters and separators that make up this high-quality system and the whole process is monitored and controlled with a PLC. The operator's control panel has many features to monitor and control the process like multiple pressure gauges, regulators, hour meters, RPM meter, and purity meter.
This self-contained package is weather proof and mounted to a trailer that was designed to be used on an airport so it does not have speed rated tires. As mentioned earlier this machine would work well in an application that uses a lot of compressed nitrogen on job sites or in repair yards or for intended purpose for serving aircraft.
