This is a portable booster pump and pressure tank package. This system consists of a 2 stage, SS Goulds LC pump, a 9 gallon Jet-rite pressure tank, pressure switch and various plumbing and valves, all stainless steel. This was originally designed to distribute clean water from water bladders or tanks in a military operation but it could be used wherever a pressurized water source is needed.
This package operates by pumping water into the 9 gallon pressure tank until the setpoint of the pressure switch is reached at which time the electric pump turns off. The system will remain pressurized and ready to supply water so if a downstream valve or faucet is opened water immediatly flows and once the pressure drops below the low setpoint the pump would kick back on. There is also valving to enable a cycle stop valve to reduce the cycling of the pump if desired.
The unit is practically unused and in excellent condition. The package was made with high quality components and materials and most of the NPT plumbing is stainless steel. New Gov acqusition cost was $11,000. Please keep in mind the unit is three phase but a single phase motor could easily be installed or a VFD could be used to convert a single phase supply to the three phase motor.
