This is a mechanical cooling accessory made by Du Pont Instruments, model 990476-901. This was most likely an accessory to a liquid chromatography system. We can not measure the temperature this goes down to, however it is extremely cold due to having a cascaded refrigeration system. This was powered up, after 10-15 minutes the cup gets very cold and frosts up although it did not cool down as fast as another one of these we had.
