This is an UNUSED 18 KVA frequency converter that converts 3 phase 380V 50hz to 3 phase 208/120V 60hz. This unit has never been setup and is in unused new condition with only a few minor scratches. This is a static frequency converter that uses a filter network, rectifier, inverter, and isolation transformer to accomplish the frequency conversion. Optional batteries could also be used with this unit to make a complete backup power system. 50hz power is applied to the 4 conductor pin-and-sleeve 100 amp receptacle and the 60 hz output is supplied to the 5 conductor 60 amp pin-and-sleeve receptacle. Unit also features optional 12 pulse rectifier vs the standard 6 for improved power factor and reduced harmonic draw. The unit is constructed with most of the electronics being housed in the inner gray cabinet and the larger transformers and power supply items are housed underneath the gray cabinet within the main white cabinet. The cabinet on the side is the air conditioning unit for cooling the cabinet.
Unit is UNUSED and ready to ship. This is a very high-end unit that was made for a defense contractor so it has options that other units do not have. Other than a few scratches and sticker residue it is cosmetically in excellent condition as well.
