This is a military surplus 1500 kW 120/240V generator. THE LOAD TEST OF THIS GENERATOR SHOWS THAT IT WORKS BUT OUTPUT VOLTAGE DROPS 12.5% WHEN FULLY LOADED. We believe this is the voltage regulator board. These units were made in the early 70s, and barely used if at all. The fuel systems were preserved so we simply purged the fuel systems and they started right up. Generator features a two cylinder gas engine mated to 1500 W generator head, control enclosure and fuel tank all mounted within an aluminum frame. Generator output can come from 120V outlets or terminal posts located under control box. High or low voltage is selected with a switch inside of the control box. Also features volt and frequency meters. This is a very heavy duty nice little generator in excellent condition. Although the wattage may be on low side, these are far better constructed than a box store unit of similar price and the parts for the 2AO16 engines are very plentiful.
