This listing is for a Reliable Rubber and Plastic Mach Co Inc 6 x 13 two roll lab mill in very good clean condition. The chrome rolls are electrically heated and controlled with dual digital temperature controllers. The main bearings are of the oil flooded type so there is an oil pump system that feeds the bearing housing for maxium longenity and temperature regulation. The oil circuit also has a tube-in-shell heat exchanger to help cool the oil if necessary. The main drive comes from a 7.5 HP gearhead motor that is chain driven to the rolls. Milling ratio can be changed by installing a different set of drive gears. Included is a 1:1 ratio set and a 1.4/1 ratio.
As can be seen in the demo video, the unit was powered and the mill runs and sounds good. The drive speed can be changed with poteniometer , the safety switches all work, and the temperature controllers hold the roll setpoints. The oil system turns on and the oil can be seen flowing through the flow sight glasses.
The computer screen that is present in the control panel was once a data aquision system but the hardrive was removed so that system in no operational any longer, but that does not affect the operation of the mill. The original manual is included along with the original wiring diagram.
Overall the machine is a fully functional research mill in very good clean condition.
