This is a large glass double convex lens. There may be small chips on the outside edge of the lens, and an occasional light scratch on the surface. There are some very small bubbles in the lens that can not be seen in the photos. We are not sure of the proper terminology for this lens but it convex on both sides with one radius being greater than the other. Very large lens, can start fires using the sun in seconds. Works well as a magnifier.
We roughly calculated the focal distance as 5 feet.
