Tension control brake for applying controlled resistance to a load. Braking power is applied by any combination of the 4 pneumatic calipers. Unit is self-contained in frame. This brake was originally linked to a 5000 in-lb torque transducer on a specialized dynamometer. This unit was made by Horton, which is now owned by Nexen. Its model number is TCB-10, the new Nexen number for this tension control brake appears to be XTB-10. Unit is in fair condition with some corrosion but there is plenty of pad life left and the shaft turns smoothly.
