This is a used semi-automatic cardboard box stitching machine and elevator in good working condition. The machine is initially fed a box blank by an operator and then the machine takes over and automatically feeds and stitches the box seam and ejects the box out of the back of the machine. This is a very wide capacity machine, with more than 4 feet to the right of the stitcher head and 7 feet to the left of the head so large boxes and gaylords can be stitched. The feed system uses a two speed motor drive that powers upper and lower poly feed rolls. The lower rolls raise and lower automatically with pneumatic cylinders to help grip the incoming boxes. Changing a box size is as simple as moving the top handwheel which moves the trigger switch that accommodates for the box flap size and then the number of stiches (box depth) is selected using the counter on the control box. If cardboard thickness is changed some adjustments to the stitcher head may need to be done as well. The stitcher head in a Interlake/ISP BHL head. The control box contains all of the contactors, timers and motor controllers.
Also included is the powered elevator conveyor that could be used on the feed or exit side of the machine. The unit is very heavy duty and constructed to handle a substantial load of cardboard. The unit is controlled by an operator with foot pedals to raise and lower the table.
Both machines are in very good used condition and the stitcher is shown in the following test video. The machine has been lubricated, new poly feed rolls installed and test run as can be seen in the video. There is surface rust on the rollers of the elevator.
